What you send us

Read a guide and you send us nothing personal: no form, no account, nothing you type. Your browser does report which pages you open and which links you click, and that is described further down. There is one place where you can send us information, posting a job, and filling it in is your choice.

Posting a job sends the job title, the business name, the city and state, the trade and the type of work, the pay, the description and the requirements, whether the work is remote, whether English is needed, whether the owner is Vietnamese, and a contact name, phone number and email address.

Every job post goes into a queue and stays invisible until a person reads it and decides.

A published job listing is a public page. The contact name, phone number and email address you give are shown on it, and search engines can find it. Please do not put anything there you would not want a stranger to read.

If we do not publish what you sent, it is not deleted automatically. It stays in our review list until you ask us to take it down.

Sending a job post also stores how you arrived: the domain name of the site that linked you here, never the full address you came from; the page you were on when you pressed send, without anything after the question mark; and any campaign tags still in that page's address. Each of those is cut off at 120 characters.

The search runs inside your browser, over a file it has already downloaded, so what you type is never sent to us as a search. What does reach the host is the address of the search page, and that address carries the words you typed.

This site is not meant for children. Please do not send us information about anyone under 18.

Where it is kept

Submissions are stored in managed storage run by the same provider that hosts this site. Nothing is sold, nothing is passed to advertisers, and there are no ads on this site.

One other thing is stored. When something is sent, a counter is kept so that one sender cannot flood the queue. It holds a number and a start time, labeled with a code worked out from the sender's IP address rather than with the address itself, though with effort that code could be worked back to the address. Once its window is over it is deleted automatically, normally within a few hours, and it is no part of what you sent.

A submission can also be forwarded by email to the person who runs this site, through a dedicated email delivery service. Whether that forwarding is switched on or not, what you sent is read and published from a private review area on the site itself.

Counting visits, and cookies

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a small script that reports which page was opened, which page linked to it, and details of the browser such as its type, its operating system and the country it is in. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not identify readers by IP address or browser details. From Cloudflare we see totals, never one reader. If your browser or an ad blocker stops the script, the site works exactly the same.

Cloudflare still receives your IP address when its script runs, as any web service does. Their privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We also keep our own simple record of visits, in the same storage as submissions, run by the company that hosts this site. Each time a page is opened it notes which page it was, which links on it were clicked (for a link to another website, that site's name and the page linked to), the name of the website that sent you here, whether the browser window is phone-sized, and the time to the minute. Page addresses (links) are kept without anything after a question mark, and a tap on a phone number or email link is noted without the number or the address. No cookie is set, nothing is stored in your browser, and these records do not hold your IP address or browser details, not even as a code. The company that hosts this site sees your IP address when it delivers each page and receives each of these reports, as any web host does; we do not keep it. Because this site has few readers, someone looking at these records could sometimes follow one visit from page to page, so we keep them private and never publish them. They are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.

The site sets one cookie for readers: it remembers which language you are reading in, and nothing else. A cookie is a small piece of data your browser keeps. A second one exists only for the owner's sign-in page.

Asking for a copy, or for it to be taken down

Write to us at hello@congdongnguoiviet.com. You can ask for a copy of what is stored about you, or ask us to take it down, at any time and without giving a reason. A job post comes down the same way, and any emailed copy is deleted with it. Visit records carry nothing that ties them to you, so we cannot find yours to copy or remove.
