- The Board's candidate bulletin offers no translated exam. Instead, a candidate whose first language is not English may request an ESL accommodation for time and a half on the English exam, supported by a letter from an English instructor or sponsoring company.

- Required training hours
- 150 hours of nail technician training. Training obtained in another US state counts if the course is substantially equivalent and is documented by a transcript or written verification from that state's licensing board.
